Support for Everyday Living

We offer a range of services funded by the Federal Older Americans Act to support older adults in our community. Our goal is to promote independence and enhance the quality of life for seniors, allowing them to live safely and comfortably in their homes. Here’s a closer look at the services we provide:

Adult Day Services

Adult Day Services

Adult Day Services offer a structured program in a protective environment for individuals with functional or cognitive impairments. Participants can enjoy:

  • Social and recreational activities

  • Counseling and training

  • Nutritious meals

  • Rehabilitation and medication assistance

  • Personal care services

This program is available through various funding sources, including private pay.

Congregate Meals

Congregate Meals

Congregate Meals is a service that provides a nutritious, safe and appealing meal in a congregate (group) setting which promotes socialization.

Each meal contains one-third of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA). A congregate meal is provided to anyone age 60 or over (and their spouse, regardless of age) at no cost - although a donation is encouraged. Each county in our district has at least one congregate meal site.

HomeDeliveredMeals

Home-Delivered Meals

Our Home-Delivered Meals program ensures that older adults receive safe and nutritious meals right in their own homes, helping to sustain or improve their health. Each meal is designed to provide one-third of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA), making it an essential part of a balanced diet.​

Eligiblity:

This service is available at no cost to anyone aged 60 and over, as well as their spouse, regardless of age. While donations are encouraged, they are not required. Please note that some funding sources may have additional eligibility criteria.

Homemaking Services

Homemaking Services

Homemaker Services help the person maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment. ​​

​

Activities may include dusting furniture, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, removing trash, washing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and other household tasks.  It can also include picking up prescriptions and grocery shopping for the person.  This service is available through several funding sources, including private-pay.

Legal Services

Legal Services

Legal Services provide legal advice, counseling, and representation by an attorney or other person acting under the supervision of an attorney. Representatives from Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio and Pro Seniors make appointments in each county.

Transportation

Transportation

Transportation is a service that provides transportation for medical appointments, particpation in a congregate meal site or senior center, and other errands.  This service is available through several funding sources, including private-pay.

Personal Care

Personal Care

Personal Care Services assist a person with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, toileting, eating, and transferring in and out of bed or chairs, in order to maintain or improve their independence.

Homemaker activities may also be included in the assistance. This service is available through several funding sources, including private-pay.
