The Nationwide Register’s Who’s Who In Executives & Businesses has included Pamela K. (Black) Matura,
Executive Director of AAA7Nationwide Register’s Who’s Who wishes to extend its congratulations to Pamela K. Matura. The intent of the Nationwide Register’s Who’s Who In Executives & Businesses is to notify all who read this announcement that this individual has reached a level of recognizable success in their respective field.
The Nationwide Register’s Who’s Who in Executives and Businesses commended Ms. Matura for her professional and civic accomplishments. Ms. Matura presently serves on the Board of Directors, Gallia County United Way, Charter Member; Board of Trustees, Gallia County Bossard Memorial Library; the State of Ohio Appalachian Task Force, State Board Member of Advocacy and Protective Services, Inc., Vice President of the Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging (O4A), Chair of O4A’s State Training Committee, Member of the Ohio Department of Aging/Ohio Department of Mental Retardation – Developmental Disabilities Double Jeopardy Task Force, Member of the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging, and Chair of its National Rural Special Interest Group.
Ms. Matura holds a B.S. in Social Work from the University of Rio Grande, an M.H.S. from the University of Florida in Health Sciences, and a "Special Certification in Gerontology." She is nationally licensed as a certified rehabilitation counselor and is an Ohio licensed professional counselor and an Ohio licensed Social Worker. She is a former superintendent of the Gallipolis Developmental Center (the former Ohio Hospital for Epileptics).
The Area Agency on Aging District 7, Inc. was also recognized in this award. Since Ms. Matura’s tenure, the Area Agency has become one of the largest rural area agencies in the United States. This agency covers 5,120 miles in southern Ohio. District 7 serves older adults in the following counties: Adams, Brown, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto, and Vinton. The agency’s PASSPORT programs, which includes PASSPORT, Care Coordination and the Residential State Supplement Programs, currently serves over 3,000 homecare clients. The Ombudsman program division oversees 57 nursing homes (4,204 beds),13 Assisted Living Homes (737 beds), and 69 Adult Care Facilities and VA Homes (682 beds).
This year’s edition will be registered at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
