Third Annual Elder Abuse Conference

GRANDE, OHIO - The Area Agency on Aging District 7,
Inc. (AAA7) presents the Third Annual Elder Abuse
Conference: “Financial and Sexual Abuse of the Elderly
and Other Vulnerable Adults” on December 3, 2004 from
8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the Collins Building located
on the Ohio University Southern Campus in Ironton,
Ohio.
Designed to educate about the signs and symptoms of
sexual and financial abuse of the elderly and other
vulnerable adults, this conference will feature
national speaker, investigator and instructor,
Randolph W. Thomas, as well as state and local
officials, as they address not only the detection of
elder abuse, but also how to report it. Law
enforcement, social service, medical and banking
communities, as well as other interested individuals
are encouraged to attend to learn how to work together
to recognize and protect this vulnerable segment of
our population.
Continuing Professional Education credit hours have
been approved by Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia
Boards for Social Workers, Licensed Professional
Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Registered
Nurses (pending in KY), Nursing Home Administrators
(pending in KY and WV), and Accountants (Ohio only).
Law Enforcement Officers may submit their certificates
to the Ohio Crime Prevention Association. For more
