Luella Henry finishes
term with AAA7 Board of Trustees
The Area Agency
on Aging District 7, Inc. (AAA7) announces that Ms.
Luella Henry recently completed her last term of
service on the AAA7 Board of Trustees. She served two
terms beginning in January 1995, finishing her last
three years as President through December 2003. The
AAA7 Board of Trustees is a 15-member governing body
for the agency and serves Adams, Brown, Gallia,
Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto and
Vinton Counties.
Ms. Henry brought a wealth of experience to the board.
She had worked with people of all ages and
disabilities in institutional settings for over 30
years, retiring in 1994. She remains an active
volunteer in the Emancipation Proclamation Committee;
in the Gallia Economic Development Association; and in
her church, assisting in all facets of church
activities.
Pamela K. Matura, Executive Director of the Area
Agency on Aging District 7, Inc., commented that the
agency will miss Ms. Henry and her contributions to
the AAA7 Board of Trustees.
The Area Agency on Aging District 7, Inc. (AAA7)
administers programs for older adults funded by the
state and federal governments. Federal funds managed
by the Administration on Aging and the CMS (Center for
Medicare and Medicaid Services), as well as all state
funds, are received through the Ohio Department of
Aging. The Agency contracts with agencies and then
channels funds through this network of service
providers. These agency providers include senior
centers, community action agencies, home health
agencies, health departments, etc.
