Dale Mullens elected to AAA7 Board of Trustees

The Area Agency on Aging District 7, Inc. (AAA7) announces that Dale Mullens of the Scioto County Board of Mental Retardation and Other Developmental Disabilities (SCBMRDD) was elected to the AAA7 Board of Trustees. The AAA7 Board of Trustees is a 15-member governing body for the agency and serves Adams, Brown, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto and Vinton Counties.

Mr. Mullens holds a B.S. in Education from Ohio University and a Master of Education from Kent State University. Currently a case manager with the SCBMRDD, Mr. Mullens has over 32 years of experience in understanding, counseling, and job placement of the physically and mentally handicapped. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge.

The Area Agency on Aging District 7, Inc. (AAA7) administers programs for older adults funded by the state and federal governments. Federal funds managed by the Administration on Aging and the CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services), as well as all state funds, are received through the Ohio Department of Aging. The Agency contracts with agencies and then channels funds through this network of service providers. These agency providers include senior centers, community action agencies, home health agencies, health departments, etc.
